Major sculptures by Cork Marcheschi can be found in public buildings and plazas from Hong Kong to Hoquiam. His list of solo exhibitions in museums and galleries stretches from San Francisco to Germany.For this exhibition, the Peninsula Museum of Art will turn off their lights to show the glow that comes from Cork Marcheschi's studio. Marcheschi grew up in San Mateo, and is now internationally known for his architectural-scale public sculptures. The Museum will present a retrospective, called from his Pacifica studio, of Marcheschi's explorations and development of sculpture that flashes, glows, sparks, and interacts.
