Description
Noir Czar and founder of the SF Noir Film Festival Eddie Muller investigates the life, work, and legacy of the crime photographer Weegee. Originally a member of the Photo League, Weegee became notorious as the most dramatic of photojournalists because he approached crime scenes as works of art. Muller will use short film clips to illustrate his talk.Presented in conjunction with the exhibition The Radical Camera: New York’s Photo League 1936–1951.
