Post:Ballet's inaugural performance, Concert One, presents the critically acclaimed choreography of Artistic Director Robert Dekkers. Named "Best New Dance" of San Francisco by 7x7 Magazine, Post:Ballet's programming appeals to diverse audiences through the use of classical dance as a means, not an end, to artistic expression.Concert One includes Dekkers' "Milieu," featuring live music and an original score by San Francisco-based composer Daniel Berkman. In addition, Dekkers presents a world premiere set to an exhilarating score by Bay Area composer Jacob Wolkenhauer, who also performs his score live.
Featuring top dance artists from across the country, Concert One promises to offer Bay Area audiences a fresh, innovative perspective on concert dance in contemporary society.
