Description
The art world is fascinated with the idea of concept - but what does concept mean in relation to drawing, painting and mixed media? This workshop is directed toward emerging visual artists, art students and artists wanting to re-engage essential issues. There will be slideshows, eye-opening exercises, critiques and individually-related explorations. The workshop will cover definitions of concept from subject matter to approaches to painting and mixed media. It will fill three fast-moving days exploring the relationship of the visual to the verbal, the authentic to the artificial and the swing of the pendulum in a changing art world.Faculty: Lon Clark, Laura Harden
