Description
Families from all over the Bay Area flock to Crowden’s annual Community Music Day, a free musical celebration for the entire family.The daylong festivities feature an “Instrument Petting Zoo,” where kids and adults alike touch and learn to make sounds on the instruments of a symphony orchestra, with miniature violins and cellos for small hands and fingers.
Crowden and the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra will present “Meet the Orchestra,” the first program of the new Very First Concerts series for young children, at 11:00 a.m., 11:40 a.m., and 12:20 p.m.
The celebration on October 26 also includes instrument-making workshops, class demonstrations, other musical performances, face painting, games, and prizes throughout the day.
