Description
This Colla Voce concert will benefit Asian and Pacific Islander (API) Family Pride to raise funds for their educational film project “Coming Out, Coming Home”. The concert program focuses on songs dealing with the issues and feelings LGBTI people face when coming out to their families. It features songs by gay composer Robert Seeley with a mix of songs from Broadway and classical genres that will make this concert enlightening and entertaining.Asian and Pacific Islander Family Pride’s mission is to end the isolation of Asian and Pacific Islander families with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender members through support, education, and dialog. http://www.apifamilypride.org
Colla Voce's mission is to provide support, awareness, and outreach to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (G/L/B/T) community through musical performances. We hold benefit concerts where all the ticket proceeds are donated back to a local non-profit community organization. http://www.colla-voce.org Colla Voce is also a proud member of GALA Choruses, the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses (www.galachoruses.org).
