Description

Niki Ford, the eighth Lucas Artists Residency Program Culinary Fellow, will join Tamar Adler, author of An Everlasting Meal and former Chez Panisse cook, and together they will present a coming of age food tale written especially for this evening. The reading of Tamar's tale will be paired with a tasting of the meal described in the story, thus steeping the diner in context and any consequential emotions.

Ford joined Montalvo in January 2012, and prior to being awarded her Fellowship at Montalvo, she cooked for six years at Chez Panisse in addition to multiple stints at the Rome Sustainable Food Project at the American Academy in Rome. Adler's An Everlasting Meal, a tribute to the late M.F.K. Fisher's classic How to Cook a Wolf, written in 1942, is a rallying cry to the home cook, instructing one to cook and eat with "economy and grace." -- from montalvoarts.org

Note: The menu will be based upon the story being told. This is NOT a vegetarian meal. May contain dairy and poultry, but will not contain red meat.
