It’s time for another historic comeback performance of Miss Coco Lopez! Coco has decided to prioritize the needs of her audience, and so she'll end her self-imposed sabbatical and host “Coco’s Cabaret”, an exciting new theatrical venue right on Lake Merritt. It promises to be a fabuluxe evening of no-holds-barred glamour. You’ll go back in time for the 1978 filming of Coco’s TV variety pilot, with stars like opera singer Leslie Hassberg, Otto Voci (of the Oakland-East Bay Gay Men’s Chorus), and the indefatigable Tim Johnson. You may even win the contest to be America’s Next Top Coco.This event is part of the grand opening of Barbary Lane (http://www.BarbaryLaneSenior.com), a new concept in housing for Coco’s more seasoned fans. It’s an event that is focused on seniors – so please bring your friends of all vintages! The event is free – but seating is limited, and the event requires an RSVP.
