About Coasting

On November 15th, 2011 Coasting released their first LP "You're Never Going Back". Eleven stunning songs from Madison & Fiona, equal parts New Zealand fire, Memphis smoke, Pacific Northwest mist, and New York thunder. Their live shows and early singles have left people in both hemispheres breathless and clamoring for more. For all the radical dreamers out there! Recorded by the esteemed Bill Skibbe & Jessica Ruffins production team at Keyclub Recording in Michigan.

Madison Farmer and Fiona Campbell met in Brooklyn a few years ago; both of them were putting on DIY shows and active in the New York underground. That activity has not abated: Coasting has already toured both hemispheres, issued quite a few (now out-of-print) 7" singles, and hand-stitched countless tour shirts, whilst juggling other projects (Madison was the guitarist in DREAM DIARY, and currently works at the esteemed Memphis label GONER RECORDS, and plays guitar in the up-and-coming Memphis group TOXIE; Fiona spent most of last year travelling the globe with her group VIVIAN GIRLS, and is also currently the drummer for Ian Svenonius's new group CHAIN & THE GANG).
