Every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-4pm** check out what we're building, making, and creating in our Open Studio hours! NUMU's Open Studio offers visitors of all ages a hands-on opportunity to explore, discover and create. Ages 4+, All children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Clay Critters | July 22-23
What's your favorite animal? Experiment with sculpture, and make a menagerie of animals by sculpting just a few simple shapes.

Harry Potter's Birthday | July 29-30
It's that time of year again--and your Hogwarts letter has just arrived! Join us once more as we celebrate the Boy-Who-Lived--with arts and crafts! Make your own wand, create a dragon's egg and sit under the Sorting Hat as it tells you which Hogwarts house you will be joining.

Plant Fossil Tiles | August 5-6
Learn a new technique for preserving a plant forever--with clay! We will be pressing native plants into clay, choosing from local and native Californian plants.

Sandy Beach Paintings | August 12-15
Before you go back to school, have fun at the beach with art! We'll use paint and sand to create the perfect beach weather so that summer never has to end.

*$6 Material Fee for kids | $15 for Harry Potter's Birthday | Museum Admission price appiles to adults.
**No new entries to MakerSpace after 3:30pm.
