Description
Chris Dorosz's uniquely fabricated wall-mounted sculptures seem to move, fracture apart, and reform—almost like holograms---as the viewer walks around them, bringing to mind digital pixels or even DNA. The moment of action is suspended in time and space, as indicated by the title of his exhibition - Stasis, a state of equilibrium.Born in Canada, where he earned his master’s degree at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Chris Dorosz now makes his home in San Francisco. His work has been exhibited widely in Canada and in the Bay Area, including a solo exhibition at the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art. He has been featured in Elle magazine and Canadian Art Magazine, among other publications. This is his inaugural exhibition at Scott Richards Contemporary Art.
