Description

Tokyo native artist is showing whimsical landscapes of the City.
San Francisco has a unique shape which is easy to recognize. This is a city with sky scrapers, free Wi-Fi café where many tech guys take a brake. Yes, it’s a modern city but there is still a hint of laid-back country side atmosphere. You can meet bison at G.G. Park and you can even see dolphins and sea otters from the beach if you are lucky. We live in this tiny peninsula city with our neighborhood nature. She loves this contrast a lot.

This series is her version of SF map through bird’s-eye view. Painting is like a travel with no specific destination for her. In this series she goes for a walk in her pieces with brush to look for gems in San Francisco.
She picked up these gems that make San Francisco looks sweet village then put them into each piece.

She recently designed paper bags and bookmark for Kinokuniya Bookstore. The free bookmark is available at the store.
