Description
There are 10 activities we at California State Parks think kids should do before they are 12 years old. We hope to accomplish all 10 in one day at Angel Island State Park. This is a free event (ferry tickets not included).Children's Outdoor Bill of Rights
1. Play in a safe place
2. Explore nature
3. Learn to swim*
4. Go fishing
5. Follow a trail
6. Camp under the stars*
7. Ride a bike
8. Go boating
9. Connect with the past
10. Plant a seed
(* we will be doing water safety, not swim lessons and showing good camping practices because this event is only during the day)
What to bring: dress in layers, refillable water bottle, hat/sunscreen and if you have it, your bike & fishing pole. Food is available for purchase from the Cove Cafe http://www.angelisland.com or bring a picnic lunch.
