Chicago Blues Reunion is a collaboration of Chicago music legends who defined the sound of their generation in the 1960s. During that time, they helped create the historic transition in popular music from acoustic folk to electric blues-influenced rock. For four decades they have continued to be an inspiration to the younger generations that followed their trail blazing path.
The Chicago Blues Reunion, the all-star aggregation of Windy City blues legends anchored by Barry Goldberg (keyboards), Corky Siegel (harmonica), Nick Gravenites (guitar) and Harvey Mandel (guitar) will be raising the roof at Slim’s on Dec. 6. The rhythm section is, likewise, an all-star affair, featuring Paul Butterfield alumnus Rick Reed on bass and drummer Gary Mallaber whose resume includes stints with Steve Miller, Bruce Springsteen and Jerry Lee Lewis.
