Description

09/20 - LOOP Presents: Cheap Thrills! (16mm/B&W/Color/Sound/80 min.)
American burlesque is a genre of variety show. By the early 20th century, burlesque in America was presented as a populist blend of satire, performance art, music hall and adult entertainment, featuring striptease and broad comedy acts.

BUFS presents two full reels of rare burlesque, striptease and exploitive Scopitone musical shorts. Here is a unique chance to take a look at a collection of 16mm arcade loops and mail order adult entertainment from the 1940-60’s.

Stars: Jennie Lee, Lorraine Lee

Hosted by the Berkeley Underground Film Society, LOOP (Lost and Out of Print) is an all ages movie night and analog cinema club for collectors, researchers, and film enthusiasts in the East Bay and San Francisco Area. We review buried or rarely projected 16mm, Super 8 and 8mm prints in our collection.
