The blues harmonica legend Charlie Musselwhite’s life reads like a blues legend: backwoods Mississippi boy follows the legendary “Highway 51” up to Chicago in search of work, where he meets blues legends Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Howlin’ Wolf and John Lee Hooker. But then it gets weird—having made a name for himself, Musselwhite up and left Chicago for San Francisco during the late ’60s.
