Description

Sometimes called the capital of innovation, San Francisco has a lot of people to be proud of. In this series we will be showcasing some of those young leaders that are part of the engine that keeps this city going through their amazing work. These talented individuals come from very different backgrounds and fulfill diverse roles in the organizations they work for. This is the perfect opportunity to learn from their experiences and entrepreneurial spirit.
Matt Galligan is a serial entrepreneur and is the CEO and Co-founder of Circa. Prior to founding Circa, Matt started two other companies: Socialthing and SimpleGeo, acquired by AOL and Urban Airship respectively. Matt is active in the startup community and is a mentor for accelerator programs like TechStars, Code For America, and FounderFuel. He also advises a number of startups including Veri, Untappd, and Foodtree. In 2010, he was named as one of Business Insider's Silicon Valley 100, a list of the top entrepreneurs in the epicenter of technology. Matt is regularly quoted in the press and numerous publications as an expert on mobile, social and local.
Matt will be in conversation with Benjamin Muessig, Business Editor of the San Francisco Chronicle.
