Lara Bruckmann, soprano; Eva-Maria Zimmermann, piano; Mary Chun, ondes Martenot; Rick Shinozaki, violin; Kate Stenberg, violin; Charlton Lee, viola; Hannah Addario-Berry, 'cello; Kyle Bruckmann, oboeSoprano Lara Bruckmann and pianist Eva-Maria Zimmermann, together the duo ChamberBridge, host a special festival titled Messiaen Illuminated in honor of the centenary of Olivier Messiaen’s birth. Over the course of the afternoon there will be an exhibition of the works of painter Srimongkol Darawali (JAX), a hands-on demonstration of the early electronic instrument the ondes Martenot and three performances by the duo joined by the Del Sol String Quartet, Mary Chun and members of the SFSoundGroup. The performances highlight the works of Olivier Messiaen, along with works by his teachers and influences through to the 2nd and 3rd generations of his students.
