“Center Stage—A History of Theater Groups in Saratoga”, a new exhibit, is open now and runs until November 18 at the Saratoga History Museum. The exhibit covers over 100 years of theater in Saratoga from 1915-2015. Beginning with Senator Phelan’s Montalvo through Saratoga High School—theater groups of all sizes are included. Outdoor groups such as Silicon Valley Shakespeare as well as “theater in the round” with King Dodo are included. The exhibition includes people from Saratoga who became famous. Artifacts, ephemera, old costumes, and photographs bring back memories of theater of yesteryear.A reception is planned for September 20 at the museum at 20450 Saratoga-Los Gatos Road in Saratoga. The museum is free and open to the public. The museum is open from 1-4 PM Friday-Sunday
