Description

Jesse Ziff Cool, an influential advocate of sustainable agriculture and cuisine, will be signing copies of her Simply Organic cookbook in the Piazzoni Murals Room from 6 to 8 pm. Famed San Francisco pianist Dee Spencer puts a big-band spin on her special brand of jazz and bebop with her NeoVintage Septet. devorah major, former San Francisco poet laureate, and saxophonist Richard Howell will present a spoken-word performance in Wilsey Court from 7–7:30 pm. April Artist-in-Residence Rosanna Raymond will guide visitors on a special walkthrough of the Oceanic galleries, focusing on the art of tatau (tattoo). ). In the art activity on April 11, visitors can decorate their bodies using traditional Samoan tattoo designs.
