If you haven’t heard already, Midtown’s favorite little world music venue, the Cayuga Vault, is hanging up its beaded skirt and closing its doors for good. Going out with a bang, the Soquel Avenue club has a weekend full of Eastern-infused acoustic folk from two of its most frequent and adored acts. On Saturday, local Jesus lookalike and sitar junkie Shimshai will honor the winter solstice with his brand of Indian-influenced “healing” jams. And on Sunday, Santa Cruz Bhakti boogiers the Mystic Jamms Band will bus all seven of its members to the concert hall for a proper kirtan calling sendoff that will surely see a few tears and more than a few great stories shared among friends.More Info
