No American child has entered their teens without first mimicking the guttural humm of a lightsaber. In an effort to raise $20,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Toronto-based Newmindspace will be bringing their nationally touring lightsaber mega-battle to San Jose. Dubbed the "Cats in Space Tour" because Disney doesn't play games with its intellectual property, the organizers have been massively successful--drawing over 10,000 people to their battle in San Francisco on a chilly day dampened by pouring rain. By donating $10 for a plastic, um, light sword, participants will be able to recreate a youthful fantasy on a grand scale. (JF)
