Join the Tech Museum of Innovation as they host "Carpets and Computers" with Professor Minoo Moallem as part of its "Ingenious Innovations: Islamic Science Rediscovered" exhibition. This presentation will cover the development of weaving and carpet looms and its influence on the development of computers in the Western world. Minoo Moallem is a Professor of Gender and Women's Studies at UC Berkeley and is the author of "Between Warrior Brother and Veiled Sister. Islamic Fundamentalism and the Cultural Politics of Patriarchy in Iran."
