THE 2-DAY FAMILY CELEBRATION IS MAY 23RD AND MAY 24TH 2015

Come celebrate with us at the 37th annual Carnaval San Francisco, a FREE 2–day family festival in San Francisco’s Mission District over Memorial Day weekend — on Harrison Street between 16th and 24th Streets — and experience global cuisine, international music, dance, arts & crafts, and other fun activities and entertainment on every street corner for the entire family to enjoy. Carnaval San Francisco is the largest multi–cultural celebration on the West Coast, with over 400,000 visitors yearly.

THE GRAND PARADE IS SUNDAY, MAY 24TH 2015, 9:30 AM

Support Carnaval San Francisco 2015 and enjoy the parade starting at 24th & Bryant Street, to 24th & Mission, then north on Mission Street to 17th Street to South Van Ness. Watch over 50 colorful music and dance groups! Admission is FREE.

San Francisco Carnaval blossomed from its inception in Precita Park in the Mission District in 1979. Its growth and development is attributable to the passion of its founding members who longed for the traditional Carnaval celebrations of their native homelands.

Those founding members were composed of people from many cultures, and walks of life ranging from musicians, dancers, artists and a host of local residents that saw the joy and happiness that came when they gathered in this multicultural celebration.

The 2–day Festival takes place on Harrison Street between 16th and 24th Streets and will include all of these and other fun activities and entertainment on every street corner for the entire family to enjoy.
