The California Historical Society invites kids and their families to visit the current exhibition California Presidential: Candidates and Campaigns from the Golden State, featuring an extraordinary collection of campaign memorabilia ranging from vintage political ribbons from the 1800s to contemporary candidates’ posters and everything in between including buttons, bumper stickers, and badges. This timely exhibition offers the perfect opportunity for parents to get their kids interested in the presidential campaign and election process.Many of the items in the exhibition were donated by collectors, most of whom started collecting political memorabilia when they were kids! On Family Day, kids will get a chance to meet the collectors, learn about their favorite items, make their own campaign buttons, participate in art activities, and more.
