The Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music celebrates its 47th season, led by Music Director and Conductor Marin Alsop.In honor of the 14th Anniversary of Jerry Garcia’s death, conductor Alsop and the Cabrillo Festival Orchestra delve into the psychadelic world of the Grateful Dead with American composer Lee Johnson’s popular Dead Symphony no. 6, the first orchestral tribute to the legendary band. The concert also features Australian composer Matthew Hindson’s Rave-Elation.
