In a Berlin nightclub, as the 1920s draw to a close, a garish Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the cabaret. With the Emcee’s bawdy songs as wry commentary, Cabaret explores the dark, heady and tumultuous life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. City Lights is proud to present the original 1966 version of this iconic musical.Cabaret runs July 18-August 25, 2019. Showtimes: Thurs.-Sat., 8 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m. (No show July 21.) Wednesday evening performances weekly, beginning on August 7th.
Cabaret is presented by arrangement with Tams-Witmark, A Concord Theatricals Company.
Tickets: $25-$46, with upgrades available for our exclusive cafe-table seating (an additional $5-$12). Discounts for seniors (55+), students, educators and groups of 10+. ($2 surcharge for phone and in-person purchases; closing weekend is also subject to a $2 increase.)
