Our music exists because of the tremendous energies of a small but dedicated number of people who are consistently putting forth their best creative works. By the very nature of the eclectic and multi-talented people who comprise the band, BURNT manages to avoid the one-dimensionality so common in the contemporary world of art. From hip hop to reggae to punk rock and ska—BURNT has made their home at the crossroads of cultures that is at the heart of underground music. Since 2003 the band has been active in both performance and songwriting. In the five years since its inception BURNT has self-produced over 40 tracks spanning three unique and colorful albums, each one distinct for its time and place—their approach to musicmaking can only be described as fearless. Without regard for words like “genre” and “image”, BURNT dives headfirst into uncharted musical waters. The band has performed for audiences in Mexico, Canada, and much of the West Coast of the United States.
