Description
Each set Bug Horn Rex plays is a stroll down Bourbon Street–their street beat of a Mardi Gras parade meshes with brass band funk and a smoky Ellington-type ballad. This group’s roots started as a Dixieland combo, and throughout the years they honed their sound as a self-described “jambalaya of New Orleans.” They performed at the New Orleans Mardi Gras in 2009, and since then have played at more local venues, including Campbell’s Boogie on the Bayou, Santana Row, Roux, Naglee Park Garage, and our very own San Jose Jazz Summer Fest.
