Brittany Haas and Lauren Rioux are two fiddlers who were members of respected bands - Brittany Haas of Crooked Still, and Lauren Rioux from Darol Anger's Republic of Strings - before deciding to join forces. Bound together by their extensive knowledge of Appalachian music and experience of being in a contemporary string band, they create passionate music that is harmonically progressive yet steeped in groove. They have won much acclaim for their energetic performances and powerful stage presence.
