The Afro-Cuban Jazz Cartel, led by drummer Brian Andres, was born from the Latin jazz tradition that thrives in the Bay Area. Featuring Grammy-winning musicians and esteemed music educators, the ACJC’s repertoire consists of original compositions, classics from around the globe, as well as lectures and workshops.
Bay Area Nuyorican poet and cultural worker Sandra Garcia Rivera is a multitalented artist whose creativity is fueled by collaboration and artistic exchange. She teaches creative writing, hosts a monthly literary series, and performs with Latin/Caribbean ensembles.
