As the World Cup fever hits the Bay, we are ready to celebrate the beautiful game with a very special edition of Braza! on Friday July 2nd! As you know, samba and soccer play such an important role in Brazilian culture, and when you combine the two, sparks go flying! We would love to see Brazil go all the way of course, but no matter who takes home the trophy this year, we hope you're enjoying the futebol action in South Africa and we look forward to see you on the dance floor for Braza's Ediçao Copa do Mundo 2010!!

A special shout out goes out to all the beautiful people who came to shake their bunda at our last party! We kept it going into the wee hours, and we promise even more heat at the next one as we proudly present acclaimed producer and DJ Carlos Niño from Los Angeles.
Carlos is very active in all things music: he performs and programs as much as he leads and organizes bands. A celebrated radio host and concert promoter, Carlos has worked with everyone from Gil Scott-Heron to Pharoah Sanders, and Saul Williams to Freestyle Fellowship. His many recording monikers include Ammoncontact (Ninja Tune), The Life Force Trio (Plug Research) and Build An Ark (Kindred Spirits), and he also played an active role in the famed Brasilintime and Timeless projects. Braza! is a celebration of the heritage and diversity of Brazilian music. Once a month, the Braza! crew will take you on a musical trip around Brazil to explore the rhythms and sounds of Samba, Funk, Batucada, MPB, Broken Beat, Tropicália, Hip Hop, Forró, House, Boogie, Soul, Drum 'n' Bass, Disco, Jazz, Bossa Nova, and much more.
