Vessel is proud to present, our very first annual BPM Magazine MP3 Battle, hosted by Fool's Gold's own very talented rapper + producer Trackademicks. We are welcoming teams from various San Francisco crews representing production companies, restaurants, retail stores, record labels, party promoters, djs, and more, to participate in this event. The Winner of the battle will receive a feature in BPM magazine!!!
Rules:
MP3 PLAYERS: Teams are only allowed to play songs off a portable MP3 player. Laptops are not allowed.
SONGS: Any song is acceptable including legitimate remixes, as long as it rocks the crowd, with the exception of cheezy mash-ups (i.e. Wale rapping over Justice, Jay Z over Oasis, etc). You are allowed to play 45 to 60 seconds- so you can either start the track from the beginning, cue it to start at the best part of the song, or edit the song to just play the best parts.
FORMAT: There are 12 teams total. In the first round, all 12 teams will compete, two teams at a time. The two teams will take turns playing the biggest party rocking track they can think of until each team has played 3 songs each. The winner will be chosen by crowd applause, measured by a decibelometer, with the winning team going on to the next round. In the second round there will be four teams and in the final round two, until only one team is left standing and will be featured in BPM magazine.
