PINE BOX BOYS (SF)
The Pine Box Boys don’t play your Grandfather's bluegrass – their music can only be described as "Southern Horrorbilly". It’s a blend of Americana, bluegrass, rock, metal, layered in dark overtones, and often covered in blood.
The Pine Box Boys are Rev. Lester T. Raww (guitar, vocals), Possum (banjo, vocals), Col. Leather (bass), and Your Uncle Dodds (drums).

COFFIN HUNTER (Rancho Cordova, CA)
Coffin Hunter is the brainchild of Jack Gibson, long time bass player for thrash metal icon Exodus. It comes out of his love for playing banjo and love of vintage Nashville music. It is a combination of Jerry Reed, C. W. McCall, and a Sergio Leone soundtrack. It is truly American music.
Joining Jack on stage are a slough of veteran musicians; Tom Hunting (drums) is an original member of Exodus and has played with such names as Kirk Hammett and Jason Newstead of Metallica and Les Claypool of Primus. Kevin Young (bass) is an original member of Bay Area metal band, Forty Grit with massive touring experience. Trish Danieli (piano) performs weekly with the world famous Glide Choir as well as being a singer-songwriter in her own right. Larry Otis (lapsteel, guitar and mandolin) is a veteran who has done several sessions for Motown as well as stints with Bobby Womanck, Billy C. Fargo (singer for Commander Cody and the Lost Airmen) and a year long stint with Ike and Tina!
This is truly a great lineup. So if you like alt-bluegrass, outlaw trucker country, and Smokey and the Bandit, you’ll love Coffin Hunter!

THREE TIMES BAD (SF)
This indie stringband embraces the dirty roots of American music: bent blues and bluegrass, drunk country, anti-folk, story songs, hillbilly swing, hot singalongs, freak preachery and murder ballads from the dark side of loving the reverend’s wife on a bed o’ cornbread crumbs. It’s like the devil went down on Georgia in San Francisco’s Mission District (and the worldwideweb watches on streaming video).
