No Cover Tonight:Bobby Joe Neely was born on August 14, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. For the past 16 years he has been a featured performer at the well-known Central Valley’s Cherry Auction as well as several other venues in Fresno including Shooters, and this year he was graciously added to Fresno County Fair‘s line up of talented musicians. In addition to appearing in a 2009 L.A. Times article, Bobby Joe also performed on the Central Valley’s beloved Great Day Show; a feature which is frequently ran still today on local television stations, and in 2011 he won the Artist of the Year award from the West Coast Hall of Fame and the Bay Area Blues Society.
