Jazz And Belly Dancing Combine For Swanky Evening
At 50 Mason Social House, San Francisco, June 4th

“Blue Note Rendezvous” combines blue note music with belly dancing by some of San Francisco’s most talented belly dancers. Set in the swanky 50 Mason Social House, the show will be reminiscent of old-fashioned smoky cabarets. All belly dancing will be done to jazz or blues, bringing an American cabaret element to an exotic dance form.

Headlining band, MWE, will have everyone dancing with their raucous Balkan and Middle-Eastern inspired music. The band’s wild presence will be multiplied by the addition of festively-clad dancing ladies.

Belly dancers Rose Harden, Kami Liddle, and Kimberly Mackoy, will have the audience enraptured by their sultry moves, slinky undulations, and cheeky choreography. From blues to bluegrass to jazz, these belly dancers will shimmy to all that is blue note music.

Opening the live music portion of the night is Horns of Plenty, playing swing and jazz. No drums. No guitars. No keyboards. No amplifiers. Just big, brass horns.

Several vendors will add another layer of fantasy to the night with whimsical pieces done up with feathers, flowers, gems, and lace.
