“One of the best ways to try out new ideas and build an audience for your writing is to start a blog,” says instructor Britt Bravo. “The first thing a publisher is going to ask you is, ‘Do you have a platform?’ A blog, combined with tools like Twitter and Facebook, is a great way to build it.”

Britt Bravo is a blogger, podcaster, and blog coach for artists, writers, entrepreneurs and do-gooders. She’s also a big vision consultant who loves to help people find and express their calling. She’s been writing on her personal blog, Have Fun, Do Good, since 2005, and has produced her own podcast, The Big Vision Podcast, since 2006. She also produces the Arts and Healing Network’s podcast.
