Description
Birds have long factored heavily into myth and folklore, and their ability to soar through the sky has long been the envy of humanity. Sparrows were once viewed as vessels carrying the souls of the dead and the pitch black of crows has often been associated with a sense of dread and foreboding. More than 40 artists--both local and national--are contributing to this exhibit focused on birds and their ability to inspire awe and fuel superstition among humans. The show will feature photographs, drawings, paintings and sculpture. (NV)
