Their second CD Love won the Norwegian Spellemannpris award in 2010 for best blues CD and won best Norwegian Blues/Soul/Gospel release by Swedish magazine Rootsy.nu.
Bandleader Bill Troiani grew up in New York City, where he played and recorded with Eddie ”Bluesman” Kirkland for 12 years, and the Tom Russell Band for 10 years. He worked with such diverse artists as Lightning Hopkins and Nancy Griffith before moving across the sea to Olso, Norway. Bill ran the house band at “Muddy Waters” Blues club for 7 years. His group went on to back Nappy Brown, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith, Homesick James, Gary Primich, Mitch Kashmar, Junior Watson, Rick Holmstrom, Eddie Kirkland, Seth Walker, Tad Robinson, Alex Shultz and Louisiana Red, among others. The Billy T Band features Ian Fredrick Johannessen on guitar, Haakon Hoeye on guitar, and Robert Alexander Pettersen on drums.
