Description
A hefty slice of the Crescent City comes to downtown San Jose for the Big Easy Music Fest. For foodies, the event serves up regional treats like fried catfish, po boys and bread pudding. The acts (on two stages) range from the PHB Allstars (Ron Thompson, Gary Smith, et al.) to the Ray Charles Project (with Chris Cain and Tony Lindsay), from Lydia Pense and Cold Blood to Beaufunk and Zigaboo Modeliste, who drummed for the Meters and supplied percussion for Dr. John, Keith Richards and many other musical heavyweights. The festival comes courtesy of the Black Chamber of Commerce and Poor House Bistro.
