Born in California, Bennett Jackson currently resides in Austin, Texas, which is probably a better place for him as his music generally steers closer to the country side. His tunes remind one the soulful melodies of Hank Williams as well as the impressionist moods one gets from watching a Clint Eastwood western. His music presents a modern twist on the country music genre pioneered by the likes of Waylon Jennings, Emmylou Harris and rockers such as Neil Young and Lucinda Williams.
