Description
The Peninsula Peace and Justice Center is hosting a benefit concert for Haiti with standout performers from both the U.S. and Haiti.Rosemond Jolissaint is one of Haiti's youngest musical stars. The winner of a widely-publicized, popular national talent competition called Digicel Stars (often compared to American Idol), Jolissaint rose to fame for his songs reflecting his impoverished upbringing.
Bluesman Kenny Neal was born in New Orleans and raised in Baton Rouge. Need we say more? Neal does what he was born to do: play the blues and play it really, really well.
Proceeds from the concert will go to S.O.I.L. and the Haiti Emergency Relief Fund. A suggested donation of $10 to $50 will be collected at the door.
