Tickets for Beck's performance at the Rio go on sale Friday, April 12, at 10 am.Always inventive and wide-ranging, Beck's music freely combines rock, hip hop, R&B and folk. Beck first rocketed to fame in the mid-'90s with his debut album Mellow Gold and the hit single "Loser," which combines folk-style guitars and clever, surreal lyrics with hip-hop beats. Beck recorded his official follow-up, Odelay, with famed producers the Dust Brothers, and the album took two GRAMMY Awards®, including Best Male Rock Vocal Performance for the song "Where It's At." Odelay was followed by the low-key Mutations in 1998, which won Beck a third GRAMMY®. A funk and R&B-flavored album, Midnite Vultures, appeared in 1999 and, in 2002, Beck released the folk-oriented Sea Change. The Dust Brothers returned to produce Beck's 2005 release, Guero, featuring the songs "E-Pro" and "Girl."
