Bay Area French Artist Participates in San Francisco General Hospital Foundation Heroes & Hearts 2012

Jean-Claude Langer was selected by the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation as one of the artists to participate in the 2012 Heroes & Hearts fundraising project. The hearts will be unveiled in the Stockton Street window of Macy’s Union Square, San Francisco on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 10:30 am.

Since it’s founding in 1994, the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation has raised over $50 million, helping to directly impact nearly 100,000 patients each year. The unique aspect of the benefit is the creation of beautiful heart sculptures that can be viewed in and around Union Square this time of year. Contributed by fourteen artists in all, the pieces are a touching reminder of why “SFGH is the Heart of the City.”

Jean-Claude Langer was born, raised and educated in Paris, France. He received a BFA in Design from Art Center College of Design. Jean-Claude has exhibited his fine art work in numerous galleries, both in Europe and in the U.S.
For the past fifteen years, Jean-Claude earned over thirty major feature film credits as a digital texture artist at Industrial Light & Magic in San Francisco.
