Description
The 8th Annual Bay Area Flamenco Festival is proud to present an evening with Gema Moneo at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center. Gema Moneo is a rising flamenco star that comes from the legendary Moneo clan of Gypsy flamenco singers and guitarists in Jerez de la Frontera. She made her auspicious debut in the U.S. with the all-star ensemble led by Diego del Morao, and performed at the Festival Flamenco Gitano U.S.A. 2012 with shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York CIty. For this performance, she will be accompanied by a group of musicians and dancers from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, including singer Joaquín Marin Flores "El Quini" and guitarist Jose Galvez "El Duende."
