ABOUT BAY AREA CURRENTS
Bay Area Currents is a juried exhibition based on studio visits by a regional curator. The exhibition offers a snapshot of the energetic and risk-taking work made in the Bay Area today, selected by a curator who has a clear knowledge of the region, and illustrated by a small number of key artists.
ELIGIBILITY
Must reside/work within the nine counties of the Greater Bay Area, defined as Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma counties. Final selections will be made based on studio visits. Artists or representatives must be available during this scheduled time.
ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS
All media accepted. Video, performance, internet, and sound-based work are considered via website URLs in online submission. Insert URL into the 'media' field of online system. Original work only that has not previously been exhibited at Pro Arts. Artwork must be installation ready with appropriate hanging hardware and/or specialized equipment for media works.
Submit entries online. Work in all media accepted.
