Bastille Day Celebration at Left Bank Brasserie San Jose

At Left Bank Brasserie on Santana Row in San Jose, from Tuesday, July 11 through Sunday, July 16, the spirit of Bastille Day will be most apparent with additions to the restaurant's a la carte lunch, dinner and cocktail menus, plus French revolutionary costumed staffers, festive blue, blanc and rouge décor and, on Friday, French accordion music and a photo booth, and on Saturday, face painting and a balloon artist. The special menu items will be Bouillabaisse for $28.00, a traditional Provençal seafood dish with red snapper, mussels, shrimp, saffron tomato broth, grilled baguette and Rouillle sauce; Coq au Vin for $25.00 with marinated red wine braised chicken, lardons, button mushrooms, pearl onions and egg noodles; and a Berry Millefeuille for $8.00 with royalty almond tuile cookies layered with pastry cream, blueberries, raspberries and powdered sugar icing. The celebration cocktails, all priced at $13.00, will be a Marie Antoinette with Sipsmith gin, lemon, crème de mure and egg white; a Sangre Royal with Basil Hayden's bourbon, lemon, blackberries and mint; and a King Louis with Courvoisier VSOP cognac, mint, lemon, black tea and Champagne. All regular menu items will also be served and prices exclude tax and gratuity. Vive la France! Vive la révolution!
