Nothing says "old-timey burlesque" like...the Smiths! Wait, maybe not. But the retro girls of Barbary Coast, collectively one of the Bay Area's most respected burlesque troupes, are going all in on the theme with this "'80s Barbary Coast Cabaret." DJ Rockin' Raul Castro will start with the group's traditional swing lessons, but for this show he'll throw in some '80s moves. That's the only the first of the evening's period mash-ups, as the show will feature not only the dancers, but also Smiths tribute group This Charming Band. If Your Arsenal didn’t provide sufficient justification for Morrissey’s pompadour, this ought to do it.
