Azúcar Con Aché – which the band translates as “Sweetness with Powerful Blessings” – is a multicultural mix of dynamic women playing high-energy Latin jazz and spicy salsa. Drawing on a wealth of musical traditions from Africa to California, from Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Brazil to New York City, the band plays creatively arranged standards and tasty originals, singing in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
