Description
Michelle Tea comes to the Capitola Book Cafe, along with her group of irreverent, flagrantly queer, hilariously feminist, tough-talking ruffians, collectively called "Sister Spit". Co-founded by award-winning writer Michelle Tea in 1997, "Sister Spit" is a gender-bending writers' cabaret that brings a changing roster of both emerging writers and important queer and counterculture artists of the day to venues worldwide. This event celebrates the release of their book, Sister Spit: Writings, Rants and Reminiscence from the Road, an eclectic collection of poetry, personal narrative, fiction and artwork.
